General Terms and Conditions

Registration/registration confirmation

Registration shall be made in writing using the registration form or by e-mail to schoolofsculpture.berlin@gmail.com. The registration becomes legally binding through a written confirmation by the contractor.

Participation fees and terms of payment

The prices published at the time of registration apply. All prices include the statutory value added tax. The amount is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice.

There are no further costs for the use of hand tools.

Machine supplement:
Costs for machines and consumables used in the workshop are included in the fee if you have booked the corresponding rate with machine supplement. Special consumables and those used by arrangement are to be paid for by the participants themselves - if necessary. Participants may bring and use their own tools.

Prices, invoicing and payment

The prices set out in the respective offer or the final order confirmation shall apply. Insofar as the invoice has been issued to a third party at the request of the customer, the customer shall be liable in the event of untimely and/or incomplete receipt of payment by the invoice recipient.

The course fee must be paid two weeks before the scheduled start of the course.

Places not paid for may be allocated according to the waiting list.

Cancellation by the participant

Cancellation will only be accepted in writing. The following fees will be charged for cancellations of participation:

  • up to 28 calendar days before the start of the event: no fee

  • 27 to 14 calendar days before the start of the event: 50% of the total fee

  • less than 14 calendar days before the start of the event: full workshop fee

  • Alternatively, if still available and by arrangement, a free place can be taken in another course.

  • In the event of non-participation or non-cancellation of the workshop, there is no entitlement to a refund of the course fee.

  • Should the workshop have to be cancelled, paid participation fees will be refunded.

Liability

The contractor selects qualified teachers for his workshops in the respective specialist areas. However, the contractor assumes no liability for the workshop contents and documents or for the achievement of the learning objective sought by the participant in each case.
The contractor assumes no liability for accidents (e.g. due to the use of machines and equipment), illnesses, theft, etc. that occur during the workshop. Participants and contributors are liable within the scope of the legal liability for damage caused by them.

Changes in implementation by the contractor

In the event of special, unforeseeable circumstances for which the contractor is not responsible (such as illness or other cancellation of a teacher), the contractor reserves the right to relocate the respective workshop in terms of space and/or time, to use another teacher or to cancel the event.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the contractor reserves the right to postpone or cancel the respective event. In this case, the contractor shall endeavour to inform the participants at least 14 calendar days before the planned start of the respective workshop.

In the event of a postponement of a workshop, the participants may choose between participation on the dates offered as a substitute and the reimbursement of participation fees already paid. In the event that a workshop is cancelled without substitution, any participation fees already paid shall be refunded. Further claims of the participant, in particular claims for damages (e.g. cancellation fees for travel or hotel costs) in case of changes or cancellation of a workshop, do not exist.
